Product description
WORCAM PLA Orange 1kg
Orange PLA filament WORCAM is a universal printing string for desktop FDM/FFF 3D printers. Thanks to its stable PLA composition, accurate diameter, and easy setup, it is suitable for both beginners and advanced users who want a reliable material for everyday printing.Material properties
- Material: PLA (polylactic acid)
- Color: rich orange
- Typical use: prototypes, decorations, visual models, holders, caps, architectural models
- Suitable for: open and closed 3D printers with a nozzle diameter of 0.2–0.6 mm
Recommended printing parameters
Specific settings may vary slightly depending on the printer, nozzle, and cooling. Take them as a starting profile and fine-tune if necessary.
- Nozzle temperature: approx. 200–215 °C
- Bed temperature: approx. 50–60 °C (on some printers it is possible to print even without heating on a suitable surface – glass, PEI, textured sheet, etc.)
- Printing speed: 40–60 mm/s
- Cooling: fan on (medium to high speed for better details and overhangs)
Advantages of WORCAM PLA
- Very easy printing – suitable for first experiences with 3D printing
- Good layer adhesion – strong and cohesive prints
- Low warping – stable dimensions even for larger models
- Rich orange color – excellent visibility of prototypes and a distinctive look for decorations
- Universal use – compatible with most 3D printers using PLA
Storage tips
PLA filament absorbs airborne moisture, which can lead to popping, bubbles in the print, and worse surfaces.- Store in a dry place, ideally in a sealable box or bag with silica gel.
- If the filament has been lying in humidity for a long time, it is recommended to dry before printing (approx. 45–50 °C for several hours depending on the dryer / oven with precise regulation).
Use of orange PLA
Orange color is ideal wherever good visibility and distinctness are needed:- prototypes of machine parts and jigs
- safety and warning elements (labels, covers, plugs)
- design and decorative models
- cosplay accessories, logos, inscriptions
- educational models in schools and 3D printing clubs
PLA Limitations
- Lower heat resistance – above approx. 55–60 °C it may start to deform
- Lower toughness than PETG or ABS – other materials are more suitable for mechanically stressed parts exposed to impacts
Key features:
- PLA filament in an attractive rich orange color for universal use
- Easy printing suitable for beginners and advanced users
- Low shrinkage and good dimensional stability of models
- Good layer adhesion and high-quality surface of prints
- Compatible with most FDM/FFF 3D printers with a 1.75 mm diameter
- Ideal for prototypes, decorations, educational and design models
- Bioplastic based on renewable resources with minimal odor during printing
