Product description
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
WORCAM PETG Grey Brown 1kg is a universal filament made of PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol-modified), developed for reliable everyday printing of functional and visually demanding parts. The grey-brown, neutral shade perfectly masks layers and small surface irregularities, making it suitable for prototypes, functional components, and final products.
PETG by WORCAM is known for its stable diameter, good layer adhesion, and low shrinkage, which significantly reduces the risk of warping and deformation. Printing is as simple as with PLA, but the material offers higher thermal resistance and toughness, making it ideal for mechanically stressed parts.
MAIN ADVANTAGES AND PROPERTIES
- PETG material – strong and tough technical plastic for everyday and professional use
- Grey Brown color – a decent, technical shade suitable for prototypes and final products
- Easy printing – behavior very close to PLA, without typical ABS problems (odor, high shrinkage)
- Good layer adhesion – parts withstand mechanical stress and cracking at the layer interface well
- Low warping and shrinkage – reliable printing of even larger models with correct bed settings
- Standard 1 kg winding – compatible with common spool holders and automatic feeding systems
- Quality processing by the Czech brand WORCAM with a focus on consistent filament parameters
RECOMMENDED USE
WORCAM PETG Grey Brown is particularly suitable for:
- functional mechanically stressed parts
- holders, grips, fixtures and assembly aids
- electronics covers and housings, technical and machine components
- prototypes, testing and assembly models
- design and decorative prints where an unobtrusive technical look is needed
Thanks to the combination of easy printing and high durability, this filament is suitable for both home users and professional and small-batch production.
RECOMMENDED PRINT SETTINGS
Specific values may vary depending on the printer type, nozzle, and slicer profile, but these ranges usually work well for WORCAM PETG:
- Nozzle temperature: approx. 230–250 °C
- Bed temperature: approx. 70–85 °C
- Print speed: approximately 40–80 mm/s (depending on model complexity)
- Cooling: low to medium (approx. 30–70 %)
- Bed: glass with adhesive, textured PEI, smooth PEI, etc.
For best results, we recommend printing a small test model and fine-tuning the settings according to your specific printer.
STORAGE AND FILAMENT CARE
PETG is less hygroscopic than some technical materials (e.g., nylon), yet it can absorb moisture when exposed to humid air for long periods, resulting in a rougher surface, popping during printing, or stringing.
Storage recommendations:
- keep the filament in a sealed bag or box with silica gel
- after printing, secure the end of the strand in the spool hole to prevent tangling
- if print quality deteriorates, the filament can be dried (e.g., in a filament dryer or food dehydrator at approx. 55–65 °C for several hours)
WHO IS WORCAM PETG GREY BROWN SUITABLE FOR
- for beginners who already master PLA and want a more durable material
- for advanced users requiring a reliable filament for functional parts
- for companies, workshops, and prototyping centers where repeatability, strength, and a decent appearance of prints are important
The neutral grey-brown color is a great choice if you don't want overly prominent models but prefer a professional, technical look with a good ability to mask layers and minor surface defects.
