Product description
WORCAM PETG Blue 1 kg – reliable PETG filament for durable prints
Blue WORCAM PETG 1 kg is a high-quality filament for 3D printing that combines simple print settings with high strength and toughness of prints. PETG is an ideal choice where more fragile PLA is no longer enough, but you do not want to deal with the more demanding printing of ABS.Properties and benefits of PETG WORCAM
- Universal technical material – suitable for functional prototypes, brackets, covers, mechanical parts, and practical home gadgets.
- Higher toughness than PLA – prints better withstand impacts and mechanical loads.
- Good temperature resistance – suitable for parts exposed to slightly elevated temperatures (common use in interiors, workshops, in cars outside of direct summer sun).
- Low shrinkage during printing – less risk of corner warping, suitable for larger objects.
- Good layer adhesion – strong joints between layers increase the overall durability of the part.
- Printing without significant odor – more pleasant for home and office use.
Recommended use
PETG WORCAM is especially suitable for:- functional components and prototypes
- technical parts, brackets, grips, mounting fixtures
- electronics covers (maintaining safe distances and cooling)
- parts exposed to moderate stress and repeated use
- larger models where shape stability and minimal warping are required
Recommended print settings
Specific values may vary slightly depending on the printer type, ambient temperature, and cooling. For common FDM/FFF printers with a nozzle for 1.75 mm string, we recommend starting with these parameters:- Nozzle temperature: approx. 235–250 °C
- Bed temperature: approx. 75–90 °C
- Print speed: 30–60 mm/s depending on model complexity
- Cooling: medium (often 40–70 %, more for bridges)
- Bed: glass, PEI, textured sheet, BuildTak / tapes using suitable adhesive (glue stick, spray, 3Dlac etc.)
- printing in a more enclosed space without drafts,
- clean and degreased print surface,
- slightly increased first layer height and lower first layer speed.
How to store WORCAM PETG filament
To maintain the filament properties and stable print quality, we recommend:- store the spool in a dry place, ideally in a resealable bag with a silica gel bag,
- avoid long-term exposure to direct sunlight and high temperatures,
- during a longer break in printing, remove the filament from the printer and reseal it in the packaging.
Summary
WORCAM PETG Blue 1 kg is a great choice for anyone looking for:- simple and stable printing like PLA,
- but with higher strength, toughness, and temperature resistance,
- in an attractive blue color and universal diameter for most 3D printers.
Key features:
- Universal PETG filament in blue color suitable for functional and visual prints
- Higher toughness and strength than PLA, suitable for mechanically stressed parts
- Low shrinkage during printing – less risk of warping, suitable for larger models
- Good layer adhesion and stable printing without significant odor
- Compatible with common FDM/FFF 3D printers using 1.75 mm filament
- Ideal choice for users who want to switch from PLA to a more durable technical material
