Storage and filament care

PLA is partially susceptible to absorbing moisture from the air. To maintain top print quality:

• keep the spool in a closed bag or box with desiccant,
• do not leave the filament on the printer for long periods in humid or dusty environments,
• always insert the end of the strand into the hole in the spool to prevent tangling.

If the filament becomes damp (typically popping and bubbles in the print), it can be dried in a filament dryer or in an oven at a low temperature according to the dryer manufacturer's recommendations.

Ecology and safety
