Print Settings (orientational)
Specific values may vary depending on the printer, nozzle, and cooling; a calibration print is recommended.- Nozzle temperature: approx. 195–215 °C
- Bed temperature: approx. 50–60 °C (with a well-tuned printer, it is often possible to print even without heating or at 40–50 °C)
- Print speed: usually 40–70 mm/s depending on the model type
- Cooling: 80–100 % (stronger airflow for better details and bridges)
Advantages of WORCAM PLA compared to other materials
- Easier printing than ABS or ASA – without the need for a closed chamber
- Lower risk of deformation – due to low thermal shrinkage
- Suitable for fine details and thin-walled models
- Extremely high nozzle temperatures are not required
PLA Material Limitations
- Lower temperature resistance – the material may soften at temperatures around 50–60 °C (unsuitable e.g. for a car dashboard)
- Brittler than PETG or ABS – for more flexible or impact-stressed parts, PETG/ASA/ABS is more suitable
Storage
PLA is partially hygroscopic – to maintain optimal print quality, we recommend:- storing the spool in a dry place and out of direct sunlight
- keeping it in an airtight bag with a moisture absorber after opening
