Print settings (approximate)

Specific values may vary depending on the printer, nozzle and cooling; it is recommended to perform a calibration print.

• Nozzle temperature: approx. 195–215 °C
• Bed temperature: approx. 50–60 °C (with a well-tuned printer it is often possible to print even without heating or at 40–50 °C)
• Print speed: usually 40–70 mm/s depending on the type of model
• Cooling: 80–100 % (stronger airflow for better details and bridges)

Advantages of WORCAM PLA compared to other materials

• Easier printing than ABS or ASA – no need for an enclosed chamber
• Lower risk of deformation – thanks to low thermal shrinkage
• Suitable for fine details and thin-walled models
• No need for extremely high nozzle temperatures

Limitations of PLA material

• Lower temperature resistance – at temperatures around 50–60 °C the material may soften (not suitable e.g. in a car on the dashboard)
• More brittle than PETG or ABS – PETG/ASA/ABS is more suitable for more flexible or impact-stressed parts

Storage

PLA is partially hygroscopic – to maintain optimal print quality we recommend:

• storing the spool in a dry place and away from direct sunlight
• after opening, keeping it in an airtight bag with a desiccant
