WORCAM PLA Red 1kg – reliable PLA filament for everyday printing

WORCAM PLA Red is a universal PLA filament in a rich red shade, intended for common FDM/FFF 3D printers using a diameter of 1.75 mm. It utilizes the same material properties as other WORCAM PLA filaments – excellent dimensional stability, low shrinkage, and very good mechanical properties for common models. PLA (polylactide) is among the most used materials for 3D printing. It is biodegradable (corn starch-based), easy to print with, and printing takes place without a significant odor, which is especially appreciated by home users and schools.

Parameters are based on general recommendations for WORCAM PLA filament:
  • Nozzle temperature: 195–220 °C
  • Bed temperature: 50–60 °C
  • Print speed: up to approx. 80 mm/s (depending on printer and required surface quality)
  • Cooling: 80–100 % after the first layers
  • Bed: glass, PEI, textured sheet, with a suitable adhesive agent according to the bed type
For best results, we recommend:
  • checking the first layer calibration,
  • keeping the filament dry, ideally in a resealable box/bag with silica gel,
  • always purging the nozzle when changing material.

Storage and filament care

Although PLA is less sensitive to moisture than some technical materials, it is still recommended to:
  • keep the filament dry and away from direct sunlight,
  • return the spool to a resealable package or dry box after printing,
  • longer exposure to a humid environment can lead to degradation of surface quality and increased fiber snapping during printing.
