Product description
WORCAM PETG Brown 1kg
Brown PETG filament from the Czech brand WORCAM is the ideal choice for users looking for a durable, dimensionally stable, and yet easy-to-print material for everyday 3D printing. It combines the advantages of PLA (simple printing) and technical plastics (higher strength and thermal resistance), making it suitable for both functional parts and design models in a pleasant brown color.
Just like other WORCAM PETG filaments, it offers consistent diameter, high-quality winding, and verified print settings, so you can quickly achieve reliable results on most FDM/FFF printers.
Main advantages of WORCAM PETG Brown
- Universal PETG filament of a Czech brand – suitable for hobby, office, and professional use
- Brown color – ideal for technical parts, mockups, covers, decorations, and models with an "earthy" look
- Higher mechanical resistance than PLA – better withstands stress, bending, and impacts
- Better thermal resistance compared to PLA – suitable for parts exposed to higher temperatures (e.g., in car interiors, near electronics, etc.)
- Low shrinkage and good bed adhesion – lower risk of warping edges and model detachment
- Easy printing for beginners and advanced users – similar settings to PLA, just with higher nozzle and bed temperatures
- Standard diameter 1.75 mm and 1 kg spool – compatible with the vast majority of FDM/FFF 3D printers
Recommended use
WORCAM PETG Brown is particularly suitable for:
- functional and mechanically stressed parts
- prototypes and small production series
- holders, grips, brackets, and technical covers
- workshop equipment, fixtures, assembly and positioning aids
- decorative and design models in a natural/earthy color
Recommended print settings
Note: Specific values may vary depending on the type of printer, nozzle, slicer profile, and environmental conditions. Treat them as starting points and fine-tune with a test print.
- Nozzle temperature: approx. 230–250 °C
- Bed temperature: approx. 70–80 °C
- Print speed: approximately 30–80 mm/s
- Cooling: low to medium (approx. 30–70 % depending on part geometry)
For better bed adhesion, we recommend using a high-quality print surface (PEI, glass with suitable adhesive, textured sheet, etc.) and checking the first layer calibration.
Material properties of PETG
- Material type: PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol)
- High toughness and impact resistance
- Good chemical resistance to many common substances
- Lower brittleness than PLA, the material has slight flexibility
- Lower susceptibility to deformation than ABS – suitable even for larger models
Properly printed PETG parts are suitable for long-term technical use, various holders, functional mechanical elements, and parts exposed to variable temperatures.
Storage and filament care
PETG is less hygroscopic than nylon, for example, but it still gradually absorbs moisture from the air. For stable results, we recommend:
- storing the filament in a closed bag or box with desiccant
- for long-term storage outside the packaging, use a filament dryer or food dehydrator (approx. 55–65 °C for several hours)
- if there are signs of popping during printing, rough surfaces, or "bubbles," dry the filament before printing
