Prusament PLA Jet Black Refill is a premium PLA filament from Prusa Research in an elegant deep black Jet Black color, supplied without a plastic spool. The filament is wound on a cardboard core, so you can reuse an original Prusament spool – saving plastic waste and space.

PLA from Prusa is manufactured in-house with meticulous quality control and a diameter tolerance of ±0.02 mm, ensuring a very consistent material flow and reliable printing even for long jobs. Thanks to low shrinkage during printing, it is ideal for large models, but also perfectly suited for fine details, figures, and visual prototypes.

PLA is ideal where high thermal and mechanical resistance is not required (e.g., in a hot car, in close proximity to heat sources, etc.).

Print settings (manufacturer recommendations)

• Nozzle temperature: approx. 215 °C
• Bed temperature: 50–60 °C
• Recommended print sheets: smooth PEI, textured PEI, satin PEI

Parameters can, of course, be finely adjusted according to the specific printer, cooling, and model geometry.

More eco-friendly packaging

The Refill variant is designed to be kinder to the environment:

• the filament is wound on a sturdy cardboard core, not on a plastic spool
• thanks to the system of detachable Prusament spools, you only need to purchase an original spool once and then simply refill it with refill strands

This reduces the amount of plastic waste and also saves space at home from dozens of empty spools.

Compatibility

• all FFF/FDM 3D printers using 1.75 mm filament
• recommended for Original Prusa (MK3, MK4, MINI, XL etc.) printers, but works without problems on other brands – just set the PLA filament profile correctly

Safety and storage

• store in a dry place, ideally in a resealable bag or box with silica gel
• protect from long-term direct sunlight and high temperatures
• to restore properties, if the filament gets damp, it can be gently dried according to the manufacturer's recommendations

Proper storage will extend the life of the filament and maintain consistent print quality.
