Prusament PLA Galaxy Silver 1kg Refill is a high-quality PLA filament developed and manufactured directly by Prusa Research in the Czech Republic. This is a refill version without a plastic spool – the filament is wound on a cardboard core, so you can easily mount it onto the original reusable Prusament spool and reduce the amount of plastic waste.

The shade Galaxy Silver combines a silver base color with fine glitter that creates a starry-sky effect. The glitter not only looks great, but also masks minor layer imperfections, so even fast prints or less fine-tuned settings can look very good.

Every batch of Prusament undergoes detailed inspection – the manufacturer guarantees filament dimensional accuracy of ±0,02 mm, which ensures stable extrusion, minimal risk of nozzle clogging and reliable printing even of long models.

Recommended print settings

Specific settings may vary depending on the printer – treat these as starting values:

• Nozzle temperature: approx. 210 °C (recommended range 200–220 °C)
• Bed temperature: 40–60 °C
• Print cooling: 100 % (full part cooling)
• Print speed: typically 40–80 mm/s, lower for detailed models
• Build plate: textured / smooth PEI, glass with glue, painter’s tape, etc.

Always clean the print surface before printing (isopropyl alcohol etc.) for the best adhesion.
