Product description
Prusament PETG Mango Yellow 1kg – premium yellow PETG from Prusa Research
Prusament PETG Mango Yellow is a top-quality PETG filament manufactured in-house by Prusa Research. The entire production process is carefully monitored, so you get a filament with exceptional diameter accuracy of ±0,02 mm and high color consistency. Thanks to the combination of high toughness, heat resistance and easy printing, Prusament PETG is one of the most popular materials for FDM/FFF 3D printing.
Main advantages of Prusament PETG Mango Yellow
- Premium quality from Prusa Research’s in-house production Manufactured in the Czech Republic with an emphasis on long-term parameter stability and top-notch quality control of every spool.
- Diameter accuracy ±0,02 mm Significantly better than the common industrial standard (±0,05 mm). Provides reliable filament feeding, consistent width of the extruded strand and clean print walls.
- High strength and toughness PETG is ideal for parts exposed to mechanical stress – mounts, holders, jigs, fixtures, connectors and functional prototypes.
- Good resistance to higher temperatures Suitable for models used indoors and outdoors, wherever PLA is already at the limit of its heat resistance.
- Minimal deformation and warping The low thermal expansion of PETG makes it easier to print larger models without detaching from the print surface.
- Easy to print even for beginners PETG prints almost as comfortably as PLA but with better mechanical and heat resistance.
- Intense mango yellow color A bright, saturated yellow shade suitable for safety elements, highlighting components, design decorations and well-visible functional parts.
Recommended applications
Prusament PETG Mango Yellow is an excellent choice for:
- functional and structural parts (mounts, holders, jigs, covers, couplings)
- parts for indoor and outdoor use
- technical components requiring strength and slight flexibility
- design and aesthetic models in vivid yellow (logos, inscriptions, decorations)
- more water-resistant parts thanks to very good layer adhesion
Recommended print settings
- Material: PETG
- Filament diameter: 1,75 mm
- Nozzle temperature: approx. 250 °C (±10 °C)
- Bed temperature: approx. 80 °C (±10 °C)
- Recommended build plate type: textured or satin steel sheet with PEI surface
- Build surface in general: smooth PEI, satin or lightly textured
Before printing, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the build plate (isopropyl alcohol / according to the printer manufacturer’s recommendations) to ensure reliable adhesion of the first layers.
Tips for printing PETG
- PETG tends to slightly ooze and create stringing (fine hairs) – if you encounter issues:
- dry the filament (ideally in a filament dryer or in an oven according to the manufacturer’s recommendations),
- increase retraction and fine-tune the nozzle temperature,
- any thin hairs can be removed by briefly passing a hot air gun over the print.
- PETG is softer than PLA, and therefore easier to sand – it is suitable for prints you want to further machine or finish mechanically.
Technical material properties (typical values for Prusament PETG)
- Density: approx. 1,27 g/cm³
- Heat deflection temperature (HDT): approx. 68 °C
- Tensile strength: approx. 46 MPa
- Hardness: approx. 74 Shore D
- Printing technology: FDM/FFF
