Product description
Prusa PLA+ MATT Dark Blue
Prusa PLA+ MATT Dark Blue is an enhanced PLA+ filament with a matte surface in a deep dark blue color. The matte effect significantly reduces the visibility of layers and reflections, so prints look professional and premium straight from the printer without the need for demanding post-processing.
Main benefits of the material
- Matte surface – suppresses layer visibility and reflections, prints look clean and elegant
- Easy printing – behaves similarly to classic PLA, suitable even for beginners
- Higher toughness than standard PLA thanks to the modified composition (PLA+)
- Low warping – suitable for larger parts without cracking and corners peeling off
- Excellent print detail – sharp edges, fine details, good bridging
- Dark blue shade – rich, deep blue for technical and decorative models
Usage
This filament is ideal for:
- design and presentation prototypes
- covers, holders, organizers, and home equipment
- figurines, models, decorations, and cosplay elements
- logos, signs, and promotional items
Thanks to its easy printing, it is suitable for home users, schools, clubs, and professional prototyping.
Recommended print settings
(Guideline values – always adapt to the specific printer and profile.)
- Nozzle temperature: 200–220 °C
- Bed temperature: 50–60 °C (can also be printed on a lukewarm / cold bed with a suitable adhesive agent)
- Print speed: 40–80 mm/s depending on the model complexity
- Cooling: 80–100 % (strong airflow for sharp details)
For best adhesion, we recommend printing on surfaces such as PEI, textured PEI sheet, or glass with a suitable adhesive.
Printing tips
- For a maximum matte appearance, choose a rather lower nozzle temperature within the recommended range.
- If you need higher strength, slightly increase the nozzle temperature and set more perimeters (e.g., 3) and higher infill.
- Store the filament in a dry place – ideally in a sealable box with silica gel.
