Prof. Lab PLA Carbon Fiber Green 1 kg

Professional filament Prof. Lab PLA Carbon Fiber Green (PLA-CF) is a composite material based on PLA reinforced with carbon fibers. Thanks to this, it offers higher stiffness, strength and dimensional stability compared to ordinary PLA, while maintaining very good printability. The green shade in combination with a fine matte structure after carbon fibers creates an attractive and representative surface. The filament is suitable for hobby and professional use – from functional prototypes to small series of parts.
Warning: carbon fibers are abrasive – a hardened or toughened nozzle is recommended.

Printing recommendations

Specific settings may vary by printer, nozzle and conditions, generally for PLA-CF it is recommended:
  • Nozzle temperature: approx. 210–240 °C
  • Bed temperature: 50–70 °C (depending on bed type)
  • Print speed: 40–80 mm/s
  • Cooling fan: medium to high power (50–100 %)
  • Recommended nozzle: hardened / toughened (due to the abrasiveness of carbon fibers)
For the best result, printing on a textured or PEI bed is recommended, or using adhesives (3DLac, Magigoo, glue stick) for smooth glass.

Storage

PLA-CF, like other PLA materials, is partially hygroscopic. To maintain the best print quality:
  • Keep the filament in a closed package or plastic box
  • Use silica gel bags
  • In case of moisture absorption, we recommend a short drying in a filament dryer or an oven with precise regulation (approx. 40–45 °C)
