Product description
Prof. Lab PETG Trans. Green 1 kg
Professional PETG filament Prof. Lab Trans. Green in a transparent green shade is designed for reliable everyday printing of functional parts and design models. The material is based on commonly used PET (bottles), but is modified for 3D printing, so it is easy to print and at the same time very mechanically resistant.
PETG Material Properties
- High toughness and impact resistance – parts tend to bend rather than crack under stress.
- Good thermal resistance – suitable for parts exposed to higher temperatures or outdoor environments.
- Low shrinkage and warping – ability to print larger objects without curling edges.
- Excellent layer adhesion – strong and cohesive prints.
- Chemical resistance to water, common acids, and a range of solvents.
- Non-toxic material – commonly used for packaging and technical applications.
Appearance and Use of Transparent Green
The transparent green color gives the print an attractive translucent effect – light partially passes through the material and highlights the structure of the print.
Suitable use:
- design and decorative objects (lighting, LED covers, stands)
- functional prototypes and technical parts
- covers, holders, organizers, workshop fixtures
- parts exposed to higher loads where better toughness than PLA is needed
Recommended Print Settings
Specific values may vary depending on the printer and ambient conditions; the ranges listed below correspond to common high-quality PETG filaments.
- Nozzle temperature: approx. 230–250 °C
- Bed temperature: approx. 70–90 °C
- Fan: 0–40 % (lower flow for maximum strength, higher for better appearance)
- Print speed: approximately 30–60 mm/s
For best bed adhesion, the use of textured PEI, glass with adhesive, or special adhesion products for PETG is recommended. With PETG, it is advisable to account for the possibility of stringing (pulling fibers) – this is reduced by setting retractions and lowering the nozzle temperature.
Advantages of PETG compared to PLA and ABS
- vs PLA: higher toughness, better thermal resistance, more suitable for functional and stressed parts
- vs ABS: easier printing without an enclosed chamber, less warping, lower odor, and higher transparency
Packaging
The filament is wound on a standard plastic spool with a winding of 1 kg of material. It is usually dried and vacuum-packed with a desiccant to limit moisture during storage.
By storing it correctly in a dry place and closed packaging, the filament maintains its mechanical and optical properties long-term and is ready for immediate use in the 3D printer.
Key Features:
- Transparent green PETG filament for universal use
- Combination of easy printing and high mechanical resistance
- Low shrinkage – suitable for larger parts without deformation
- Excellent layer adhesion and impact resistance
- Good thermal and chemical resistance – suitable for outdoor environments
- Attractive translucent effect for design and functional prints
