Product description
NYLON general properties:
- High strength: Nylon filament has excellent strength and wear resistance, making it suitable for producing industrial parts such as bearings, screws, and gears.
- Low shrinkage: Nylon filament has low processing shrinkage, which means printed parts remain almost the same size after cooling.
- High chemical resistance: Nylon filament is resistant to many chemicals, such as lubricants and oils, making it suitable for parts exposed to chemical environments.
- Low hygroscopicity: Nylon filament has low hygroscopicity, meaning it does not absorb moisture, which is important for certain applications.
- High electrical insulation: Nylon filament has high electrical insulation, which means it can be used as an insulating material in electrical and electronic devices.
- Excellent heat resistance: Nylon filament has high thermal resistance, meaning it can be used at high temperatures without damage.
- High elasticity: Nylon filament has high elasticity, which means printed parts can be flexible in thin sections.
Polyamide PA12 in its natural color (ivory), also known as NYLON, has high hardness, elasticity in thin sections, excellent layer adhesion, and low processing shrinkage for a material from the polyamide family.
Polyamide PA12, also known as NYLON, is an engineering material ideal for applications in the automotive, electrical, and electronics industries, as well as in sports. NYLON from Print-ME is characterized primarily by excellent layer adhesion and processing shrinkage below 1.5%. It is an ideal material for manufacturing industrial parts such as bearings, screws, and gears due to its high wear resistance and impact strength. It has insulating properties and chemical resistance to lubricants and oils. In addition, it has the lowest hygroscopicity of all available polyamides.
Recommended settings for printing Nylon:
The operating temperature of finished parts can reach 130-150 °C. Thin printed sections have elastic properties. A necessary condition is the use of a heated bed, heated to approx. 120 °C, and an enclosed chamber with good room ventilation, because harmful caprolactam is released during printing. Polyamide is available in a natural ivory color. The recommended printing temperature is 230-280 °C.
