Product description
PLA 607 is a type of thermoplastic PLA (polylactic acid) used in 3D printing. It behaves similarly to standard PLA during printing, but after heat treatment it gains higher stiffness and strength, and its mechanical properties are comparable to ABS. Thanks to thermal stabilization, PLA 607 can withstand temperatures up to 140 °C after treatment, making it suitable for printing parts that require increased heat resistance.
Annealing process:
- Place the finished print in a cold oven (the print should be placed on a surface with low thermal conductivity).
- Turn on the convection function and set the temperature to 80 °C.
- Heat the print in the preheated oven for 10 to 25 minutes. The duration of heat treatment depends on the wall thickness of the object.
- After the time has elapsed, remove the print from the oven without touching it.
- Once cooled, you will obtain a print similar to ABS.
PLA 607 is popular for printing models, toys, and decorations. It is very easy to print thanks to its low shrinkage during cooling, does not require a heated bed, and is fully biodegradable, as it is made from renewable resources such as corn.
