Product description
Overview
Filament PM PC/ABS in gray shade (RAL 7035) combines the toughness and thermal stability of polycarbonate with the durability of ABS. The material is self-extinguishing according to UL94 V0 and withstands temperatures up to 115 °C, making it an excellent choice for industrial applications and functional components.
Why choose PC/ABS from Filament PM
- High impact resistance and long-term mechanical durability.
- Self-extinguishing (UL94 V0) increases the safety of parts in operation.
- Dimensional stability and smooth surface of prints.
- Precise manufacturing in the Czech Republic with a diameter of 1,75 mm and tolerance ±0,05 mm.
Recommended print settings
- Nozzle temperature: 270–300 °C
- Bed temperature: 100–110 °C
- Chamber: enclosed recommended (the material tends to shrink due to temperature)
- Adhesion: Magigoo PC recommended (for PC/ABS, ABS-T, ABS) To achieve consistent results, maintain low to medium cooling and choose moderate speeds for detailed parts.
Drying and material care
PC/ABS is hygroscopic – before printing, dry it for 4–6 hours at 70–80 °C and store it in an airtight box with silica gel. When printing with damp material, crackling from the nozzle is usually heard.
Color, packaging, and ecology
- Shade: gray RAL 7035, Pantone 428 C
- Spool: empty approx. 0,216 kg; package approx. 1,38 kg; package dimensions 220 × 75 × 210 mm
- Vacuum-packed with a silica gel bag; standard spool dimensions approx. Ø 202 mm / width 90 mm / hub 50 mm Filament PM also uses 100% recycled spools and supports a take-back program.
Typical applications
- Mechanical jigs, holders, brackets, and covers
- Prototypes and parts with higher heat resistance (up to ~115 °C)
- Applications requiring self-extinguishing properties and resistance to chemicals (salts, acids, alkalis)
