Designed for high-speed printing RAPID PLA+ filament boasts dimensional accuracy of +/- 0,02 mm and a strict diameter tolerance of 1,75 mm, ensuring smooth and consistent filament flow and reducing the risk of nozzle clogging. By optimizing the material molecules and balancing the material properties, the filament can quickly absorb heat and melt rapidly, allowing for smooth extrusion and resulting in smooth and consistent prints every time, even at a high print speed of 250 mm/s (on our Neptune 4 series).

Less tangling & carefully wound All filaments are fully mechanically wound with secondary sub-winding and strict manual inspection to ensure that the lines on the spools are arranged neatly, thereby reducing the risk of tangling and possible breaking. Made from renewable resources, our filament is safe, eco-friendly, and biodegradable, making it a sustainable choice for all your printing needs. For even more eco-friendliness, all filaments are delivered on cardboard spools that decompose faster than plastic spools. In addition, there are three holes on the spool for monitoring the remaining filament and replacing it in time.

PLA filament 1,75 mm is the most versatile material for FDM printing technology, also suitable for printing large objects. Thanks to its simple properties, we recommend PLA to all beginners starting out with 3D printing. Another big advantage is its 100% ecological degradability, as PLA is made from renewable resources such as corn starch. PLA material is hard and durable, like other plastics, but it is not suitable for outdoor use, because in such conditions it degrades and becomes brittle under UV light.

Recommended settings for printing PLA

Commonly used nozzles are suitable. You can choose the diameters according to the surface smoothness you want to achieve or according to the layer height settings when printing. Printing temperature: 210 °C. PLA filament requires a heated bed, but for better material adhesion it is recommended to heat it up to 55 °C. Furthermore, we do not recommend enclosing the printer in an enclosure when printing PLA filament, or if used, leave it open. For a high-quality print surface, the plastic needs to be cooled as quickly as possible after leaving the nozzle. We therefore recommend setting the part cooling fan on the printer to 100%. We supply the filament vacuum-packed together with a moisture absorber and placed in a cardboard box. The plastic spools on which the filament is wound may differ in relief or color. We strive to maintain 100% repeatability of the winding and the color of the spool.
