Compared to common PLA Silk filaments, this one is additionally more resistant to breaking and is compatible with AMS (Automatic Material System). For an even glossier surface, print at higher temperatures (230-240 °C) and lower speeds (30-60 mm/s for outer walls). The RFID chip enables smart printing with automatic parameter loading.

Enhanced toughness and AMS compatibility
Compared to standard PLA Silk, Bambu PLA Silk is toughened and shows greater resistance to breaking when using AMS printing.

Adjustable gloss
The visual gloss of models printed with Silk material can be controlled by temperature and print speed. To achieve glossier surfaces, higher print temperatures and/or lower speeds are recommended.
Recommended settings: nozzle temperature: 230 - 240 °C, outer wall speed: 30 - 60 mm/s

Printing tips
• Drying PLA Tough is optional. Recommended drying conditions are 55 ℃ for 8 hours in a filament dryer and 75 ℃ for 12 hours on the printer’s heated bed. Learn more about filament drying. For more information, see the Filament Drying Cover section on the WIKI.
