Product description

Product Description

Bambu Lab PETG‑CF Indigo Blue 1 kg is a premium composite filament composed of PETG and finely ground carbon fibers. The new Bambu Lab formula significantly reduces clumping and stringing compared to conventional PETG materials and simultaneously improves mechanical properties, stiffness, and dimensional stability.

Thanks to carbon fibers, the material offers higher strength, stiffness, and better resistance to deformation while maintaining good flexibility and toughness. The surface of the prints is matte-glossy, with a premium appearance, while the darker indigo blue color elegantly hides minor imperfections.

The filament is designed primarily for Bambu Lab X1, P1, A1 printers and is compatible with the Bambu AMS system (but not AMS Lite). It is supplied as a 1kg spool with a reusable basic plastic spool.

Warning: Carbon fiber filled materials are abrasive – for long-term printing, a hardened steel nozzle or other durable material is recommended. A 0.2mm nozzle is not supported.

Key Features

  • Composite PETG with carbon fibers – better stiffness and strength than standard PETG.
  • Less clumping and stringing – modified formula for cleaner printing and more reliable results.
  • Premium print surface – matte-glossy, technical look in indigo blue color.
  • Increased dimensional stability – less deformation and warping for mechanically stressed parts.
  • Good toughness and flexibility – suitable for functional components, brackets, fixtures, and covers.
  • AMS compatible – designed for multi-color/sorting printing with Bambu AMS (AMS Lite is not supported).
  • Precise diameter 1.75 mm ± 0.03 mm – stable flow and consistent quality.
  • Supplied on a reusable spool – more eco-friendly solution, possible to use refill spools.

Recommended Use

Bambu Lab PETG‑CF Indigo Blue is ideal for:

  • Functional and mechanically stressed parts (brackets, consoles, grips, mounting fixtures)
  • Technical covers and housings with higher heat resistance than PLA
  • Workshop tools, fixtures, and tool accessories
  • RC models, drones, robotics, sensor mounts, and structural parts
  • Aesthetic technical models and design prototypes in elegant indigo blue

Thanks to the combination of higher strength, pleasant stiffness, and still good toughness, it is suitable where classic PETG is already at its limit, but a high-temperature engineering polymer is not required.

Printing Recommendations

(specific values may vary by printer and part geometry; refer to the Bambu Lab PETG‑CF profile in Bambu Studio)

  • Filament diameter: 1.75 mm
  • Nozzle temperature: approx. 250–265 °C (depending on speed and cooling)
  • Bed temperature: approx. 70–80 °C
  • Print speed: standard Bambu Lab profiles (medium to higher speeds), printing can be slowed down for maximum quality
  • Cooling: medium, higher airflow for overhangs and bridges
  • Filament drying: recommended before printing (e.g., 8–12 hours at approx. 65 °C) – PETG‑CF is sensitive to moisture, dry filament significantly improves surface and print reliability.
  • Build plate: textured PEI, engineering/composite plates, or other surfaces suitable for PETG; use a separation layer if necessary (e.g., glue stick) to prevent too strong adhesion.

Safety and Maintenance

  • Use a durable nozzle (hardened steel, carbide, etc.) – carbon fibers significantly accelerate the wear of brass nozzles.
  • 0.2mm nozzle is not compatible – high risk of clogging.
  • Stainless steel nozzle is not recommended – lower thermal conductivity, worse results.
  • Keep the filament dry (sealed box with silica gel) to limit moisture absorption.
  • When printing structured/open parts, ensure appropriate ventilation of the printing area.
