Product description

Product description

Bambu Lab PETG HF Dark Gray is a premium PETG filament designed specifically for high-speed 3D printing. The PETG HF (High-Flow) series is fully optimized for rapid material feeding and allows printing approximately twice as fast as standard PETG while maintaining reliability and clean details.

The matte surface in an elegant dark gray color helps to hide layers and small imperfections, so the final prints look very professional – ideal for technical as well as design parts.

Note: PETG HF is more sensitive to moisture. To achieve the best print quality, it is recommended to dry the filament before printing.

Main advantages

  • Designed for high speed – optimized high flow, suitable for Bambu Lab high-speed profiles.
  • Twice the speed compared to standard PETG with proper slicer settings.
  • Matte surface – reduces layer visibility, fewer reflections, professional appearance.
  • Higher toughness than PLA – suitable for functional parts that need to withstand stress.
  • Good chemical and UV resistance – the filament is usable even for outdoor applications.
  • Compatible with Bambu Lab AMS / AMS Lite – RFID material identification (for original packaging), easy integration into the Bambu ecosystem.
  • Stable diameter 1,75 mm with a narrow tolerance for consistent extrusion.

Typical applications

  • Functional prototypes and assembly jigs
  • Holders, mounts, covers and mechanical components
  • Interior car parts, RC models, technical models
  • Covers and components exposed to sunlight and weather
  • Design and technical parts where a subtle dark gray matte appearance is required

Recommended print settings

Specific values may vary depending on the printer, nozzle and conditions. The following ranges are based on Bambu Lab recommendations for PETG HF.

  • Nozzle temperature: approx. 240–260 °C
  • Bed temperature: approx. 70–85 °C
  • Print speed: significantly higher than standard PETG, high-speed profiles possible (on Bambu Lab printers according to preset PETG HF profiles)
  • Fan: generally low to medium airflow; for the first layers it is often recommended to turn it off or reduce it
  • Filament drying: before printing for 2–6 hours (e.g. 60–65 °C) depending on manufacturer and environment

For PETG HF, it is crucial to have good degreasing and a suitable build plate surface (textured PEI, special adhesion agents for PETG) to prevent either too strong adhesion or, on the contrary, detachment.

Material properties

  • Material: PETG HF (Polyethylene terephthalate glycol, High-Flow)
  • Surface: matte
  • Color: Dark Gray (dark gray)
  • Diameter: 1,75 mm
  • Diameter tolerance: ± 0,03 mm
  • Density: approximately 1,25–1,3 g/cm³ (typical for PETG)
  • Hardness and toughness: higher than PLA, suitable for structural parts
  • Heat resistance: higher than PLA, suitable for slightly elevated ambient temperatures

Why choose Bambu Lab PETG HF Dark Gray

If you print on Bambu Lab printers (X1, P1, A1 and others), PETG HF is a natural choice – it offers ready-made profiles, RFID identification and proven compatibility. The dark gray shade is also very versatile for both technical and aesthetic parts.

Thanks to the combination of high speed, matte appearance and mechanical resistance, this is an ideal filament for users who want to:

  • speed up part production,
  • maintain print reliability,
  • achieve an attractive, professional surface without pronounced layers.

Key features:

  • High-flow PETG material optimized for high-speed printing
  • Faster printing than standard PETG while maintaining detail quality
  • Matte dark gray surface helps to hide layers and small imperfections
  • Higher toughness and resistance than PLA – suitable for functional and mechanical parts
  • Good resistance to UV radiation and weather, suitable also for outdoor use
  • Full compatibility with the Bambu Lab ecosystem including AMS / AMS Lite
  • Stable 1,75 mm diameter with narrow tolerance for consistent extrusion
  • Recommended drying before printing for maximum surface quality and strength
