Prusament Woodfill Linden Light 1kg is the first original wood-filled filament from the Prusa Polymers workshop. The base consists of high-quality PLA, mixed with fine particles of linden wood. Thanks to this, the filament combines the easy printing of PLA with the authentic appearance and texture of light wood. Just like with recycled rPLA materials, Prusa utilizes wood dust and scraps generated during wood processing. The linden wood comes from sustainable sources and follows a Czech tradition – the linden is the national tree of the Czech Republic. This gives you not only an attractive material but also a filament with an emphasis on sustainability and environmental friendliness.

Recommended Use

Prusament Woodfill Linden Light is suitable primarily for:

• Decorations and interior accessories – vases, flower pots (with an inserted waterproof liner), frames, decorative covers
• Design prototypes – product design, packaging, mockups with a natural "eco" look
• Wood-like models – figurines, board games, props, costumes
• Gift items – personalized inscriptions, stands, commemorative items

Thanks to the high wood particle content, prints can be further sanded and stained/colored similarly to wood, but the resulting structure is still plastic – with the advantage of lower brittleness and better shape stability than real wood.

Printing Settings (Guideline)

Specific values may vary slightly depending on the printer and conditions. We always recommend creating a short test print.

• Nozzle temperature: approx. 195 ± 10 °C
• Heatbed temperature: approx. 60 ± 10 °C
• Recommended print surface: Satin spring steel sheet; for smooth PEI sheet use a separation layer (glue stick) due to strong adhesion
• Enclosure: Not required
• Cooling fan: 100% (similar to PLA)
• Nozzle: Standard brass 0.4 mm is sufficient

Tips for Printing and Post-Processing

• First layer: Set a slightly higher first layer height (e.g., 0.2 mm) and carefully calibrate the Z-offset to avoid "sticking for life" to smooth PEI.
• Adhesion: Always use a separation layer (glue stick) on smooth PEI; for the satin sheet, standard cleaning with IPA is usually enough.
• Sanding: After printing, the surface can be lightly sanded (dry sanding or fine sandpaper recommended) to highlight the "woody" look.
• Coloring / Staining: To achieve a natural look, models can be colored with water-soluble glazes or stains intended for plastic/wood. Always test on a small area.
• Mechanical and thermal resistance: Remember that this is a PLA base – not suitable for parts exposed to higher temperatures (above approx. 60 °C) or mechanical stress.
