Product Description

Prusament TPU 95A Lipstick Red 500g (NFC) is a flexible filament based on thermoplastic polyurethane from Prusa Polymers. Thanks to its 95A Shore hardness, the material is sufficiently flexible in thin walls, but at the same time strong and durable in more massive parts. It is ideal for functional parts requiring bending, shock absorption, and high abrasion resistance.

The ether diol type polymer structure ensures very low moisture absorption, high resistance to hydrolysis and microbial decomposition, and excellent mechanical properties even at low temperatures (down to approx. –50 °C). The material also has good temperature resistance (HDT ~78.6 °C at 1.8 MPa) and is chemically resistant to oils and greases.

An integrated NFC chip in the spool allows compatible Prusa printers to automatically load filament information and print profiles.

Printing Recommendations

Basic Print Settings

• Nozzle temperature: approx. 230 ± 10 °C
• Bed temperature: approx. 65 ± 10 °C
• Recommended print surfaces:
  • PA Nylon print sheet
  • Satin spring steel sheet
• Print speed: rather lower (TPU = slower printing) for reliable material feeding

Tips for Successful TPU 95A Printing

• Use lower feed speeds and avoid too aggressive retraction.
• For older or non-optimized extruders, it may be necessary to loosen the idler tension.
• For larger models, it is advisable to add a brim and possibly slightly increase the bed temperature.
• On smooth PEI sheets, use a separation layer (e.g., glue), otherwise surface damage may occur.
• The filament usually does not need to be dried, but if stored in humid conditions, drying for approx. 4 hours at ~60 °C can help.
