Prusament Premium PLA Mystic Brown 1kg (NFC) is a premium PLA filament manufactured directly by Prusa Research. The Mystic range is characterized by a mystic, multicolor effect that changes depending on the angle of light and viewing direction – it creates subtle polychromatic stripes and metallic reflections on the model. The Mystic Brown shade combines a warm brown color with a pronounced shimmer, making it perfect for both decorative and functional prints.

Prusament PLA is known for its top-class consistency of diameter and color. The filament is manufactured with a guaranteed accuracy of ±0,02 mm, which ensures stable material flow, minimal nozzle clogging, and a very smooth print surface. Thanks to the integrated NFC chip, on supported Original Prusa printers you can easily load spool parameters (material type, color, remaining amount, etc.).

PLA is generally an easy-to-print material suitable even for beginners – it does not require an enclosed chamber, is printed at relatively low temperatures, and has minimal deformation (warping). Mystic PLA further allows you to influence the final visual effect:

• Nozzle temperature 210–230 °C – higher temperature = more pronounced surface gloss
• Layer height – higher layers (≈0,3 mm and above) give a richer, more “vivid” color and enhance the mystic effect
• Viewing angle – when the angle changes, multicolor stripes “flow” across the surface of the model

Printing recommendations

Basic print settings (guideline values):

• Nozzle temperature: approx. 215 °C (recommended middle of the 210–230 °C range for Mystic PLA)
• Bed temperature: 50–60 °C
• Recommended surface: smooth / textured / satin PEI steel sheet
• Cooling: 100% part cooling (standard for PLA)

For the best appearance we recommend:

• trying different layer heights (0,15–0,3+ mm) and observing the change in effect
• printing with a well-calibrated Z-offset for a perfect first layer
• using brim/raft for larger parts only if necessary – Mystic PLA has low tendency to deform

Warnings and filament care

• PLA filament is slightly hygroscopic – for the best results, store the spool in a dry place (sealed box, silica gel).
• Before printing, check and if necessary clean the print surface of the bed (isopropyl alcohol, according to the printer manufacturer’s recommendations).
• For bonding PLA parts, you can use cyanoacrylate adhesives (super glues).
