Product description
About PP Carbon Fiber Black
Prusament PP Carbon Fiber is a lightweight material with exceptional chemical resistance - resistant to a wide range of solvents, bases, acids, and oils. Thanks to this chemical resistance, it is perfect for printing laboratory equipment and various parts in the automotive industry, etc. It is also very light, making it suitable for the aerospace industry and use in hobby RC airplanes.
For this type of filament, we cannot guarantee perfect spool winding.

Key properties
Tips and tricks for beginners
A hardened nozzle is required. The filament contains carbon fibers that are highly abrasive and can easily damage a standard brass nozzle.
Prusament PP Carbon Fiber Black cannot be printed on standard PEI print sheets because its adhesion to them is too low. We strongly recommend using the PP print sheet - designed specifically for Prusament PP Carbon Fiber Black to ensure the best possible adhesion. As an alternative, this material can be printed on PP tape.
We recommend printing in a well-ventilated room because PP with carbon fibers may emit a slight odor and produce ultrafine particles during printing. An even better option is printing in an enclosure - this helps trap odors and particles, and the elevated temperature can improve interlayer adhesion.
Notes
Small white microcracks may appear on the surface of the filament. They are purely aesthetic and have no effect on the printing process, mechanical properties, or the color of the printed model.
We manufacture Prusament PP Carbon Fiber Black ourselves, right here at Prusa Research.
1.75 mm filament is manufactured with a precision of ±0.04 mm.
The carbon fibers inside the filament come from waste material generated during the manufacturing process or from carbon composites at the end of their service life.
