Prusament PLA Pearl Mouse 1kg (NFC) is a high-quality PLA filament manufactured in-house by Prusa Research. The shade Pearl Mouse is an elegant pearlescent gray color that gives your models a luxurious look and highlights surface details.

Prusament production is carried out fully in‑house with rigorous quality control. Each spool has guaranteed dimensional accuracy of ±0,02 mm, and detailed production parameters for each specific spool can be looked up via the QR code on the spool. PLA is also the easiest material for 3D printing – it is perfect for both beginners and advanced users.

This variant is equipped with an NFC tag (OpenPrintTag), which allows storing and reading information about the material directly from the spool, for example using the Prusa mobile app or compatible printing ecosystems.

Printing settings (approximate)

• Nozzle temperature: approx. 210 ± 10 °C
• Bed temperature: 40–60 °C
• Recommended surface: smooth / textured / satin PEI, or glass with suitable adhesive
• Cooling: fan on (PLA requires good cooling)

Before printing, make sure the print surface is clean according to the printer manufacturer’s recommendations.

Post‑processing

• Sanding: wet sanding is recommended to prevent local melting of the plastic and clogging of the abrasive.
• Gluing: PLA can be glued with common cyanoacrylate (super) glues; with special PLA blends, solvents may also work, but it depends on the specific pigments and additives.

Limitations of PLA material

• Lower heat resistance – above approx. 55–60 °C it loses strength (not recommended for parts in a hot car or near heat sources).
• Lower UV resistance – not ideal for long-term outdoor use.
• The material is relatively brittle, unsuitable for highly stressed mechanical parts.
