Prusament PLA Pearl Mouse 1kg (NFC) is a high-quality PLA filament from Prusa Research's own production. The Pearl Mouse shade is an elegant pearly gray color that gives your models a luxurious look and highlights surface details.

Prusament production takes place fully in‑house with strict quality control. Every spool has a guaranteed dimensional accuracy of ±0.02 mm, and detailed manufacturing parameters for a specific spool can be looked up via the QR code on the spool. PLA is also the easiest material for 3D printing – it is great for both beginners and advanced users.

This variant is equipped with an NFC tag (OpenPrintTag), which allows for storing and reading material information directly from the spool, for example, using the Prusa mobile app or compatible printing ecosystems.

Printing settings (approximate)

• Nozzle temperature: approx. 210 ± 10 °C
• Heatbed temperature: 40–60 °C
• Recommended surface: smooth / textured / satin PEI, or glass with a suitable adhesive
• Cooling: fan on (PLA requires good cooling)

Before printing, ensure the print surface is clean according to the printer manufacturer's recommendations.

Post‑processing

• Sanding: wet sanding is recommended to prevent local melting of the plastic and clogging of the abrasive.
• Gluing: PLA can be glued with standard superglues; for special PLA blends, solvents may also work, but it depends on the specific pigments and additives.

PLA material limitations

• Lower heat resistance – loses strength above approx. 55–60 °C (not recommended for parts in a hot car or near heat sources).
• Lower UV resistance – not ideal for long-term outdoor use.
• The material is rather brittle, unsuitable for highly stressed mechanical parts.
