Prusament PLA Noctua Brown 1kg (NFC) is a top-quality PLA filament manufactured directly by Prusa Research in Prague. It was created in cooperation with the Austrian manufacturer of silent coolers Noctua, and its shade is carefully matched to the official Noctua Brown color. This allows you to print perfect PC modding parts, fan mounts, covers, ducts, airflow elements, and other accessories that color-match Noctua hardware.

In addition to its premium appearance, this Prusament also offers the typical properties of PLA: easy printing, low warping, high hardness, and a nice surface finish. It is suitable for both beginners and advanced users, for large-volume parts as well as fine details.

The integrated NFC chip in the spool allows compatible printers (e.g., selected Original Prusa models) to read filament information, which simplifies material management and print settings.

PLA is not suitable for parts permanently exposed to high temperatures (e.g., in a closed PC case near a strong heat source or in a car in direct sunlight).

Printing settings (guideline)

• Nozzle temperature: approx. 215 °C
• Bed temperature: 50–60 °C
• Recommended surface: smooth PEI, textured PEI, satin PEI
• Enclosure: not required
• Cooling: 100 % part cooling fan (standard PLA configuration)

Specific values may vary slightly depending on your printer, nozzle, and ambient conditions – we recommend starting with Prusament PLA profile settings and then fine-tuning if needed.

Post-processing

• Sanding: wet sanding is recommended – without water, PLA easily overheats locally and smears
• Gluing: bonds well using cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); with some PLA types you can use other methods as well – always test on a sample first
• Surface finishing: you can apply acrylic paints, varnishes or fillers – for better adhesion, lightly sand the surface beforehand
