Material properties
- Material: PLA (polylactide)
- Hard, with lower toughness – can be more brittle on impact
- Low shrinkage and warping – very stable dimensions
- Lower heat resistance (approx. up to 55–60 °C) – not recommended for parts in hot environments (e.g. in a car in the sun)
- Not suitable for long-term outdoor use – poorer UV resistance
NFC technology (OpenPrintTag)
This variant is equipped with an integrated NFC tag that:- stores information about the material, color and recommended parameters,
- is reprogrammable and an open standard (OpenPrintTag),
- can be read using compatible printers or the Prusa mobile app.
Tips for printing and post-processing
- For best adhesion, use a clean PEI surface – degrease with isopropyl alcohol.
- We recommend wet sanding PLA to avoid local overheating and smearing of the plastic.
- Parts can be glued with cyanoacrylate (super glue) or other adhesives suitable for PLA.
