Prusament PLA Marble Grey 1kg (NFC) is a special PLA filament from the in-house production of Prusa Research, designed for creating models with a realistic natural marble effect. The combination of a grey base shade and fine sparkling particles gives prints a luxurious look without the need for painting or additional post-processing.

The filament is produced with an exceptional diameter precision of ±0,02 mm, which guarantees stable flow and reliable printing even for long models. Each spool is carefully inspected and equipped with an NFC/QR code for easy identification and retrieval of production data on the Prusament portal.

This material is suitable not only for statues, busts, architectural and artistic models, but also for flower pots, home decorations, and other design objects where the marble structure stands out.

Printing settings (approximate)

• Material: PLA (Prusament PLA Marble Grey)
• Filament diameter: 1,75 mm
• Nozzle temperature: approx. 210 °C ± 10 °C (typically 200–220 °C depending on the printer and speed)
• Bed temperature: 40–60 °C
• Print speed: up to approx. 200 mm/s (we recommend starting slower, e.g. 40–60 mm/s for a high-quality surface)
• Cooling: 100 % (standard for PLA)
• Recommended surfaces: smooth PEI, satin PEI, lightly textured PEI; printing is also possible on glass (ideally with suitable adhesive).

Tips for successful printing

• Before printing, thoroughly clean the print surface (isopropyl alcohol and according to the printer manufacturer’s recommendations).
• For larger models, use a brim or raft for better adhesion.
• For a maximally smooth surface, choose a lower layer height (0,15–0,2 mm) and medium speeds.
• Store the material in a dry, closed package – PLA is sensitive to long-term exposure to moisture.
