Prusament PLA Jet Black 900g Refill (NFC Compatible) is a quality PLA filament directly from Prusa, manufactured in-house by Prusa Polymers. It is a 900g refill without a standard plastic spool, intended primarily for the new Prusament NFC spools, but it can also be used with compatible reusable spool systems.

The color shade Jet Black is a rich, technical black, ideal for functional parts, design models and aesthetic prototypes. PLA is one of the easiest materials to print – it has low warping, good bed adhesion and produces very smooth surfaces.

Thanks to its NFC compatibility, the refill is ready for a modern workflow: once mounted on an NFC spool, information about the filament (type, color, recommended temperatures, etc.) can be easily read on compatible devices via the NFC tag.

Printing recommendations

• Nozzle temperature: approx. 205–225 °C (depending on printer and conditions)
• Bed temperature: approx. 40–60 °C
• Print surface: smooth PEI, textured powder-coated PEI or another surface suitable for PLA
• Always clean the print surface before printing (isopropyl alcohol / according to the printer manufacturer’s recommendations)

PLA generally offers easy printing, but has lower heat resistance – it is not suitable for parts that will be exposed to temperatures above approx. 50–60 °C for a long time (e.g. a car dashboard, etc.).

The refill version of Prusament is designed to reduce the amount of plastic waste:

• Supplied without a plastic spool – the filament is wound on a cardboard core or in the form of a wound bundle intended to be mounted in a reusable spool.
