The integrated NFC chip enables compatible Prusa printers to automatically load filament information (material type, color, recommended temperatures, remaining amount, etc.), which makes print preparation easier and minimizes configuration errors.

• Nozzle temperature: 210 ± 10 °C (typically 200–220 °C)
• Bed temperature: 40–60 °C
• Print speed: up to approx. 200 mm/s (depending on printer and model characteristics)
• Cooling: 100 % (strong airflow for the best details)

Specific settings may vary depending on the printer, nozzle, ambient temperature, and desired quality. We recommend starting from the official Prusa profiles for Prusament PLA and then fine-tuning if necessary.

PLA material properties

• Material: PLA (polylactic acid)
• Density: approx. 1,24 g/cm³
• Hardness: high, but the material is more brittle (it breaks more easily than it bends)
• Heat resistance: approx. up to 55–60 °C – above this temperature it loses mechanical strength
• Suitable primarily for indoor use (lower resistance to UV radiation and higher temperatures)

Practical printing tips

• For the first layer, use a clean print surface (IPA/ethanol for smooth PEI, or glue for specific surfaces as recommended by the printer manufacturer).
• For a better glitter appearance, print with a higher layer height (e.g. 0,20–0,25 mm) – the effect is usually more pronounced.
• For mechanically stressed parts, print with a higher number of perimeters and infill (e.g. 3 perimeters, 20–30 % infill).
