Premium PLA filament directly from Prusa Research / Prusament in the popular shade Viva La Bronze. The special Blend composition with metallic pigments creates a pronounced bronze effect reminiscent of metal, while retaining the printing simplicity of classic PLA.

Thanks to the integrated NFC chip (with compatible Original Prusa printers), the printer easily recognizes the type of material and can automatically apply suitable settings. This simplifies operation and minimizes printing errors.

Printing parameters (indicative)

* Exact values may vary depending on the specific printer, settings and environment. For best results, we recommend starting from the Prusament PLA profiles in PrusaSlicer and then fine-tuning if necessary.

Material properties (PLA Blend)

• Material type: PLA (polylactide) – special Prusament PLA Blend
• Density: approximately 1,24 g/cm³
• Hardness: approx. 72 Shore D – hard, stiffer material
• Heat resistance: roughly up to 50–55 °C (at higher temperatures deformation may occur)
• Tensile strength: around 45 MPa (depending on print orientation and settings)

PLA has a lower glass transition temperature, so it is not suitable for parts exposed to continuous heat (e.g. on a car dashboard or in direct summer sunlight). On the other hand, the advantages are easy processing and minimal tendency to warp.

Tips for successful printing

• Clean bed surface – before printing, degrease the PEI sheet (e.g. with isopropyl alcohol) according to the printer manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Sufficient cooling – metallic PLA Blends (Viva La Bronze, Oh My Gold, etc.) can be more sensitive to insufficient cooling on overhangs. Use 100 % fan, or reduce print speed on fine details.
• Adhesion to the bed – usually no adhesion promoter is necessary; for very large surfaces you can use a glue stick.
• Post-processing – PLA is harder and more difficult to sand, wet sanding (with water) is recommended so that the surface does not overheat and melt.
