Product Description

Prusament PLA Blend My Silverness 1kg (NFC) is a top-tier PLA filament manufactured directly by Prusa Research. This is a special "blend" variant in metallic silver color with a silky gloss, which gives your prints a luxurious look and highlights details.

New Prusament spools are equipped with an NFC tag in the OpenPrintTag standard, so the printer (or a phone application) can easily read information about the material – filament type, color, recommended temperatures, and other data stored directly in the NFC tag. This facilitates correct print settings, inventory management, and work in multi-material systems.

PLA is one of the easiest materials to print. Thanks to minimal shrinkage and zero warping, it is great for beginners and advanced users alike and is suitable for large models, decorations, figures, design prototypes, and visual parts where high temperature resistance is not required.

Not recommended for parts exposed to high temperatures (e.g., in a car in the sun) or for high-stress mechanical parts – in these cases, PETG, ASA, or other technical materials are more suitable.

Print Settings (guidelines)

• Nozzle temperature: approx. 215 °C (range 210–220 °C depending on the printer and speed)
• Bed temperature: 50–60 °C
• Recommended surface: smooth / textured / satin PEI sheet
• Cooling: 100 % print fan speed

Always check and clean the print bed surface before printing according to the printer manufacturer's recommendations.

Tips for Successful Printing

• Print in a well-ventilated room, even though PLA has almost no odor
• To achieve the best look of the metallic effect, use a lower layer height (0,10–0,20 mm)
• During post-processing, use wet sanding – without water, the filament locally overheats and can deform
• To glue PLA parts, use cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); some PLA blends can also be glued with acetone, but it depends on the specific shade and additives

Safety and Storage

• Store in a dry place, ideally in a resealable bag or box with silica gel
• Protect from direct sunlight and higher temperatures
• Although PLA as a material is generally considered safe, repeated contact of prints with food is not recommended, as micro-cracks can form in the layers where bacteria accumulate
