Prusament PLA Blend Ms. Pink 1kg (NFC) is a top-quality PLA filament with a silky shine made in-house by Prusa Research. Thanks to precise extrusion process control, it offers high dimensional accuracy, consistent color, and a perfectly wound spool. The special "silk" blend in the rich pink shade Ms. Pink creates a highly glossy surface that hides layers and gives prints a luxurious appearance.

The integrated NFC/OpenPrintTag chip in the spool allows compatible Original Prusa printers to automatically recognize the filament type and load recommended print parameters. This simplifies print preparation and reduces errors when setting up the material.

This filament is ideal for decorative and presentation models where appearance is crucial – from figurines, cosplay accessories, and fashion accessories to design prototypes, interior decorations, and gift items.

Printing recommendations

Typical settings for Prusament PLA Blend (indicative, always verify in the Prusament/PrusaSlicer profile):

• Nozzle temperature: approx. 215 °C
• Bed temperature: 50–60 °C
• Recommended print sheets: smooth PEI, textured or satin powder-coated sheet
• Print speed: standard speeds for PLA, e.g. 40–60 mm/s depending on model detail

PLA is generally an easy-to-print material, suitable even for first experiences with 3D printing. For best results:

• print on a clean bed surface (degreased with isopropyl alcohol)
• for higher adhesion with tall or narrow models you can use a glue stick or a special adhesion aid
• for very detailed models with a smaller nozzle (0,25–0,3 mm), reduce print speed

Post-processing of prints

• Sanding: wet sanding is recommended – without water, PLA heats up quickly due to friction and may locally melt and deform.
• Gluing: most parts can be glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Some PLA can also be glued with acetone, but it depends on the additives.
• Drilling, thread cutting, milling: possible, but you need to work at lower speeds due to the material’s temperature sensitivity.

Material properties

• hard and stiff material with low shrinkage and good dimensional stability
• more brittle than PETG or ASA – not suitable for mechanically stressed parts
• lower temperature resistance – at higher temperatures (approx. above 50–60 °C) it may soften and deform

The filament is intended mainly for visual / presentation parts, not for functional components exposed to long-term heat or high mechanical stress.
