For the best results, it is recommended to print on a PEI surface or another surface suitable for PLA (e.g. glass with glue).
PLA material properties
- Easy to print – suitable even for first experiences with 3D printing.
- Stiff but more brittle material – not suitable for highly mechanically stressed parts.
- Lower heat resistance – not recommended for parts exposed long-term to temperatures above approx. 55–60 °C.
- Low shrinkage and warping – ideal for large models and precise prints.
PLA is generally not recommended for long-term outdoor use (UV radiation and heat can cause material degradation).
