Prusament PLA Army Green 1kg (NFC) is a high-quality PLA filament in an elegant army green shade, manufactured in-house by Prusa Research. Thanks to strict production control, it achieves excellent dimensional accuracy and consistency, which results in reliable printing and a perfect appearance of your models.
The new generation of Prusament spools is equipped with a rewritable NFC tag according to the open OpenPrintTag standard. The printer (or the Prusa mobile app) can read material information directly from the tag – everything works completely offline, without any dependence on the cloud.
This PLA filament is ideal for both beginners and advanced users. It is easy to print, has low shrinkage and minimal warping, making it great for large parts, models, miniatures, prototypes and decorations that do not require high thermal or mechanical resistance.

PLA material properties
- Easy to print – not demanding in terms of settings, adheres well to the build plate
- Suitable for both small and large prints thanks to low thermal expansion
- Hard material, but also more brittle – lower impact toughness than PETG or ASA
- Low heat resistance – not recommended for parts exposed to higher temperatures (e.g. in a car in the sun)
- More difficult to sand – during dry sanding it easily melts; wet sanding is recommended
Processing tips
Bed preparation
- Make sure the print surface is clean and degreased (isopropyl alcohol, etc.).
- For PLA it is usually not necessary to use glue or adhesion promoters on standard PEI sheets.
Sanding
- Use wet sanding, otherwise the material may locally overheat and deform.
Gluing
- For most parts, cyanoacrylate (CA) super glue is suitable.
- Some PLA variants can also be bonded with acetone, but it depends on additives and color – we always recommend testing on a sample.

Warning
- PLA is not suitable for use in environments with higher temperatures (e.g. in a car in direct sunlight, near radiators, etc.).
- Protect the filament from moisture – store it in a dry place, or use a sealed box with silica gel.
