Prusament PETG Yellow Gold 1kg (NFC) is a premium PETG filament manufactured in‑house by Prusa Research. Each spool undergoes precise quality control, including a diameter tolerance of ±0,02 mm and production batch tracking, so you get consistent print results throughout the entire spool.

The Yellow Gold shade is a rich yellow gold color with an attractive shine – ideal for decorative objects, cosplay parts, prototypes, and functional pieces that are meant to stand out visually.

The integrated NFC chip (Near Field Communication) allows supported Original Prusa printers (e.g. MK4, MK3.9 etc.) to automatically load filament information (material type, color, recommended settings), making everyday printing work easier.

Printing properties and settings

PETG is known as a material that combines the strength and durability of ABS with printability similar to PLA.

Typical printing settings (indicative):

• Nozzle temperature: ~ 230–250 °C
• Bed temperature: ~ 70–90 °C (Prusa recommends approx. 80 °C)
• Enclosed chamber: not required – low warping

When printing PETG you need to expect slight stringing. Using the preset Prusament PETG profiles in PrusaSlicer greatly simplifies retraction and temperature setup and eliminates most issues. Any fine “hairs” can be easily removed by briefly using a hot air gun.

Before printing, always pay attention to cleaning the print surface according to Prusa Research recommendations – with PETG, the correct choice of surface and a possible separation layer (e.g. glue stick) are particularly important to prevent overly strong adhesion to the bed.

Advantages of PETG over PLA

• Higher heat resistance – prints do not deform as easily in the heat
• Greater toughness and impact resistance
• Better chemical resistance (e.g. to some cleaning agents)
• More suitable for mechanically stressed and functional parts

On the other hand, you need to account for slightly worse detail and bridging compared to PLA – for technical parts this usually does not matter, but for small miniatures this factor must be considered.

Packaging and quality tracking

Each Prusament spool is:

• wound with an emphasis on perfect layering without tangling,
• equipped with a label with production batch – thanks to this, you can look up detailed parameters of a specific spool on the Prusament website (production log, tolerance measurement, etc.).
