Premium PETG filament Prusament PETG Signal White 2kg (NFC) is produced directly by Prusa Research in the Czech Republic. Thanks to a carefully monitored manufacturing process, you get a filament with above-standard diameter precision of ±0.02 mm, excellent color consistency, and reliable printing behavior even on long jobs.

The white shade Signal White is a bright, distinct technical white color, suitable for functional parts, prototypes, electronics covers, lighting, advertising signs, and design models where contrast and detail readability are important.

Recommended printing parameters

Specific recommended values may vary slightly by printer and profile; the following ranges are verified by the manufacturer of PETG Prusament:

• Nozzle temperature: approx. 230–250 °C (typically around 240 °C)
• Bed temperature: approx. 70–90 °C (usual value around 80 °C)
• Printing speed: medium (e.g., 40–60 mm/s for quality surface)
• Fan: rather lower to medium intensity, depending on part geometry

For the best adhesion, printing on flexible steel sheets with PEI surface (smooth, powdered, or satin) is recommended, along with careful surface cleaning before printing.

NFC spool – smarter filaments

This version of Prusament is supplied on a new spool with an NFC chip (OpenPrintTag). The NFC tag contains information about the material, color, and recommended parameters. This allows compatible devices and software to:

• recognize material type and color automatically,
• simplify the selection of the correct print profile,
• facilitate filament inventory management and consumption tracking.

The NFC standard OpenPrintTag is open, without cloud locking, and designed for easy integration into various systems.

PETG material properties

• Material: PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol-modified)
• Printing behavior:
  • easy printing without extreme setting requirements,
  • lower warping than ABS,
  • suitable even for larger parts,
  • good mechanical properties and toughness.
• Use: interior and protected outdoor environments (PETG is generally more resistant to moisture and UV than PLA, yet long-term outdoor use is recommended to be well tested).

• lower risk of color or dimensional differences between individual spools,

Storage and filament care

To keep Prusament PETG Signal White at its peak properties:

• store the spool in a dry place, ideally in a resealable box or bag with desiccant,
• protect from dust and direct sunlight,
• during longer printing breaks, remove the filament from the printer and secure the end of the strand into the hole in the spool.

Correct storage ensures consistent print quality even after a long time since opening the spool.
