• Nozzle Temperature: approx. 230–250 °C (recommended range for Prusament PETG)
• Heatbed Temperature: approx. 70–90 °C depending on the print surface
• Recommended Surface: textured or satin sheet (reduces the risk of surface damage due to excessive adhesion)
• Print Speed: usually around 40–60 mm/s (depending on printer type and model detail)

Before printing, we recommend:

• Thoroughly degrease the print surface (isopropyl alcohol / IPA)
• In case of adhesion issues, gently use a glue stick or separation layer (on smooth PEI with very high adhesion)
• Keep the filament dry – PETG is slightly hygroscopic, drier filament = less stringing and cleaner surface

Tips for Successful PETG Printing

• PETG has a tendency for “stringing” – it helps to:
  • slightly reduce the nozzle temperature within the recommended range,
  • correctly set retractions,
  • ensure dry filament (dry in a dryer if necessary).
• Adhesion to smooth PEI can be very strong – when printing on a smooth sheet, use a thin separation layer (glue stick, spray) to prevent surface damage.
