Product description

Product Description

Prusament PETG Jungle Green 1kg (NFC) is a high-quality PETG filament manufactured in-house by Prusa Research. It offers a combination of high durability, moderate flexibility, and very good thermal resistance, making it ideal for functional and technical prints that must withstand stress.

The Jungle Green color variant brings a rich, deep green shade, suitable for both technical parts and design projects, models, mockups, or prototypes. Thanks to precision winding and strict diameter control, the filament feeds reliably and minimizes the risk of jams in the filament path.

The new spool design is equipped with an NFC tag according to the OpenPrintTag standard, which allows a compatible printer or mobile application to automatically recognize the material type, color, and basic parameters. This makes print setup faster, more convenient, and reduces the risk of errors.

Key Features

  • PETG material – high resistance, toughness, and good thermal resistance
  • Jungle Green color – rich green, suitable for technical and design models
  • New spool with NFC (OpenPrintTag) – rewritable NFC tag with stored filament data
  • Precise 1.75 mm diameter – very tight tolerance for stable extrusion and quality details
  • Low shrinkage – lower risk of deformation and warping during printing
  • Excellent layer adhesion – suitable for functional parts stressed in practice
  • Easy printing on common FDM/FFF printers with a heated bed
  • Made in EU (Czech Republic) directly by Prusa Research

Recommended Use

Prusament PETG Jungle Green is a great choice for users who need durable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing prints.

Suitable for example for:

  • electronics covers and housings
  • brackets, grips, mounting fixtures
  • mechanical components with moderate stress
  • parts for the workshop and home (organizers, hooks, storage elements)
  • prototypes with higher thermal resistance than PLA
  • outdoor use (under a roof, sheltered), where the material is more thermally stressed than PLA

Printing Recommendations

Specific recommendations may vary by printer, but for Prusament PETG these values are commonly used:

  • Nozzle temperature: approx. 230–250 °C (depending on printer and speed)
  • Bed temperature: approx. 75–90 °C
  • Print surface: smooth, satin, or powder-coated textured PEI
  • Print cooling: low to medium (e.g., 0–40%; depending on model geometry)
  • Layer height: commonly 0.15–0.30 mm
  • Printing speed: medium (e.g., 40–80 mm/s depending on settings and printer rigidity)

To achieve the best results, it is important to have a clean print surface (degreased with IPA or as recommended by the printer manufacturer) and well-dried filament, especially if it has been open for a long time. PETG is partially hygroscopic – it absorbs moisture, which can cause bubbles, stringing, and poor surface quality of prints.

Advantages and Limitations of PETG

Advantages:

  • greater toughness and durability than PLA
  • better thermal resistance (suitable for parts exposed to higher temperatures)
  • very good layer bonding, strong functional parts
  • lower shrinkage than ABS, easier printing without an enclosed chamber

Limitations:

  • tendency for stringing, which can be reduced by correct retraction and temperature
  • often prints very fine, thin details worse than PLA
  • can adhere too strongly to some types of beds – in such cases, a separation layer (glue, glue stick, etc.) helps

Technical Specifications

  • Material: PETG (polyethylene terephthalate modified with glycol)
