Product description
Product Description
Prusament PETG Emerald Green 1kg (NFC) is a top-of-the-line PETG filament manufactured in the Czech Republic by Prusa Research. It is a universal, tough, and temperature-resistant material, suitable for functional parts, technical prototypes, and design models.
The Emerald Green shade was created in collaboration with the Škoda Auto brand and corresponds to its official corporate green. Thanks to this, this filament is ideal for:
- Škoda car models,
- corporate promotional items in corporate colors,
- mock-ups, holders, and accessories in the brand's design.
The new spool design with an integrated NFC tag (OpenPrintTag) stores basic material information directly on the spool. Compatible printers and applications can thus quickly recognize the filament without relying on the cloud.
Key Features
- PETG material – a combination of high strength, toughness, and good temperature resistance
- Diameter precision ±0.02 mm – superior precision for stable and reliable printing
- Excellent interlayer adhesion – durable and functional prints
- Low shrinkage and minimal warping – suitable even for larger models without an enclosed chamber
- Emerald Green shade – exact match for the Škoda Auto corporate green
- Integrated NFC tag (OpenPrintTag) – material information directly on the spool, works offline
- Made in CZ (Prusa Polymers) – full quality control including online tolerance check
- Excellent ratio of printing ease and mechanical properties – suitable for beginners and advanced users
Recommended Use
Prusament PETG Emerald Green is ideal for:
- Functional mechanical parts – brackets, mounts, fixtures, covers
- Parts exposed to higher temperatures than PLA (e.g., in a car interior, near electronics)
- Outdoor use – thanks to good temperature stability and better resistance than PLA
- Models and accessories in Škoda Auto colors – mock-ups, merchandising, stands, logos
- Design models – where a rich green, brand color, and clean surface are required
Print Settings (approximate)
Parameters according to manufacturer's recommendations for Prusament PETG:
- Nozzle temperature: approx. 250 °C (± 10 °C depending on the printer)
- Bed temperature: approx. 80 °C (± 10 °C)
- Recommended surface: textured or satin powder-coated PEI sheet (or equivalent)
For best results:
- Ensure a clean and degreased printing surface.
- For large models, use a brim or a wider first layer.
- In case of stringing, you can slightly lower the nozzle temperature or adjust retractions.
Advantages and Disadvantages of PETG
Advantages:
- high strength and toughness
- good heat resistance compared to PLA
- low shrinkage and warping, suitable for large parts
- good chemical resistance
Disadvantages (general for PETG):
- can create stringing at higher temperatures
- worse bridging than PLA
- sticks to some surfaces – proper bed preparation is necessary
