Product description
Prusament PC Blend Prusa Pro Green 900g (NFC)
Prusament PC Blend Prusa Pro Green is a premium technical filament based on a polycarbonate blend, developed and manufactured directly by Prusa Research. Thanks to a combination of high heat resistance, excellent toughness and minimal moisture absorption, it is ideal for functional parts, prototypes and components exposed to thermal and mechanical stress.
The Prusa Pro Green color is based on the typical “Prusa green” used on original Prusa printer parts – making it a perfect choice for replacement and upgrade parts.
Key features
- Material: polycarbonate blend (PC Blend)
- High heat resistance: up to approx. 113 °C
- High toughness and resistance to impact and wear
- Very good dimensional stability compared to standard PC filaments
- Low moisture absorption – fewer issues with bubbling and degradation during printing
- Electrically insulating properties – suitable for technical parts and covers
- Styrene-free – less toxic than ASA/ABS
- Printed from a production spool with NFC tag (OpenPrintTag) – easy material identification in compatible ecosystems
- Diameter 1,75 mm with tolerance ±0,03 mm – highly precise manufacturing
- Made and 100 % inspected at Prusa Research, with the option to trace specific spool parameters on the Prusament portal
Recommended use
Prusament PC Blend is primarily intended for advanced users who need a reliable material for demanding applications:
- Functional mechanical parts (levers, brackets, mounts, latches, stops)
- Parts exposed to temperature – motor covers, printer parts, jigs near heat sources
- Jigs and assembly aids in production
- Technical prototypes requiring dimensional accuracy and strength
- Structural parts for enclosed machines and equipment
It is not suitable for beginners – it requires higher nozzle and bed temperatures and ideally printing in an enclosure, especially for larger parts.
Print settings (manufacturer recommendation)
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Nozzle temperature | 275 ± 10 °C |
| Bed temperature | 110 ± 10 °C |
| Recommended surface | satin PEI steel sheet |
| Filament diameter | 1,75 mm |
| Diameter tolerance | ±0,03 mm |
Surface preparation:
- When printing on a smooth PEI sheet, always use a separation layer (glue stick), otherwise the surface may be damaged due to too strong adhesion.
- On a satin or textured sheet, a separation layer is also recommended for easier print removal.
Tips for successful PC Blend printing
- A closed build chamber (enclosure) is recommended, especially for larger models – it reduces the risk of warping.
- Use a brim or a higher skirt around the model to reduce corner lifting.
- Print rather slowly (approx. 30–50 mm/s) and pay attention to perfect first-layer calibration.
- For very large parts, reduce the number of perimeters and infill density to lower internal stress.
- The filament has low moisture absorption, but for long-term storage, a dry environment or drying before demanding prints will still help.
New spool with NFC (OpenPrintTag)
This variant of Prusament PC Blend is supplied on a new generation of Prusament spools with an integrated NFC tag in the open OpenPrintTag standard:
- Rewritable NFC tag – can store information about the material, print profile, remaining amount, etc.
- Compatible with various ecosystems – not limited to Prusa printers only.
- The spool has an improved lock for easy disassembly and possible rewinding of the material.
- The spool design is optimized for better compatibility with MMU/multi-material systems.
Who Prusament PC Blend is suitable for
- Advanced users who can handle printing at higher temperatures and have experience with engineering materials.
- Owners of Original Prusa printers (and other brands as well) who want a material fine-tuned specifically for structural parts and long-term use.
- Customers looking for a reliable, repeatable and high-quality filament with tightly controlled parameters, manufactured in the EU.
