Product description

Prusament PC Blend Prusa Pro Green 900g (NFC)

Prusament PC Blend Prusa Pro Green is a premium technical filament based on a polycarbonate blend, developed and manufactured directly by Prusa Research. Thanks to a combination of high thermal resistance, great toughness, and minimal moisture absorption, it is ideal for functional parts, prototypes, and components exposed to thermal and mechanical stress.

The color Prusa Pro Green is based on the typical "Prusa green" used on original Prusa printer parts – making it the perfect choice for replacement and upgrade parts.

Key Features

  • Material: Polycarbonate blend (PC Blend)
  • High thermal resistance: up to approx. 113 °C
  • High toughness and resistance to impact and wear
  • Very good dimensional stability compared to standard PC filaments
  • Low moisture absorption – fewer issues with bubbling and degradation during printing
  • Electrical insulation properties – suitable for technical parts and covers
  • Styrene-free – less toxic than ASA/ABS
  • Printing from a production spool with an NFC tag (OpenPrintTag) – easy material identification in compatible ecosystems
  • Diameter 1.75 mm with a tolerance of ±0.03 mm – very precise manufacturing
  • Manufactured and 100% controlled at Prusa Research, with the ability to track parameters of a specific spool on the Prusament portal

Recommended Use

Prusament PC Blend is primarily intended for more advanced users who need a reliable material for demanding applications:

  • Functional mechanical parts (levers, brackets, mounts, locks, stops)
  • Heat-exposed parts – motor covers, printer parts, jigs near heat sources
  • Jigs and assembly aids in production
  • Technical prototypes with requirements for dimensional accuracy and strength
  • Structural parts for enclosed machines and equipment

It is not suitable for beginners – it requires higher nozzle and bed temperatures and ideally printing in a box/enclosure, especially for larger parts.

Print Settings (Manufacturer's Recommendations)

Parameter Value
Nozzle temperature 275 ± 10 °C
Bed temperature 110 ± 10 °C
Recommended surface Satin PEI steel sheet
Filament diameter 1.75 mm
Diameter tolerance ±0.03 mm

Surface Preparation:

  • When printing on a smooth PEI sheet, always use a separation layer (glue stick), otherwise, the surface may be damaged due to excessive adhesion.
  • For satin or textured sheets, a separation layer is also recommended for easier print removal.

Tips for Successful PC Blend Printing

  • An enclosure is recommended, especially for larger models – it reduces the risk of warping.
  • Use a brim or a higher skirt around the model to limit corner lifting.
  • Print rather slower (approx. 30–50 mm/s) and ensure perfect first layer calibration.
  • For very large parts, reduce the number of perimeters and infill density to lower internal stress.
  • The filament has low moisture absorption, yet for long-term storage, a dry environment or drying before demanding prints will help.

New Spool with NFC (OpenPrintTag)

This variant of Prusament PC Blend is supplied on the new generation of Prusament spools with an integrated NFC tag in the open standard OpenPrintTag:

  • Rewritable NFC tag – can store information about material, print profile, remaining quantity, etc.
  • Compatible with various ecosystems – not limited to Prusa printers.
  • The spool has an improved lock for easy disassembly and potential rewinding of material.
  • The spool design is optimized for better compatibility with MMU/multi-material systems.

Who is Prusament PC Blend Suitable For

  • Advanced users who manage printing with higher temperatures and have experience with technical materials.
  • Owners of Original Prusa printers (as well as other brands) who want material tuned directly for structural parts and long-term use.
  • Customers looking for a reliable, repeatable, and high-quality filament with precisely controlled parameters manufactured in the EU.
