Prusament ASA Natural 800g (NFC) is a premium ASA filament manufactured in‑house by Prusa Research. ASA (acrylonitrile styrene acrylate) is a technical material with properties similar to ABS but with a number of improvements – it is UV stable, less prone to warping, and produces less odor during printing. This makes it ideal for long‑term outdoor parts and functional mechanical components.

This new variant contains approx. 800 g of filament on a redesigned spool with an NFC tag according to the OpenPrintTag standard, which allows the printer or Prusa application to instantly recognize the material, without reliance on the cloud or vendor lock‑in.

  • Excellent for outdoor use – high resistance to UV radiation, does not yellow and become brittle as quickly as common plastics.
  • High heat resistance – prints remain stable at temperatures up to 93 °C, suitable for parts in warmer environments (e.g. in a car, near engines, in electrical cabinets).

  • The material is slightly hygroscopic – for longer storage we recommend drying the filament according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • For large objects it is advisable to use a brim, draft shield, or a higher first layer temperature.
