Product description

Prof. Lab PLA Magenta 1 kg – reliable filament in an intense magenta color

Prof. Lab PLA Magenta is a universal filament for 3D printing, suitable for both beginners and advanced users. The magenta (purple / pink-purple) shade highlights model details and is ideal for design and decorative prints, figurines, promotional items, and prototypes.

PLA is one of the most widespread materials for FDM/FFF 3D printing. It is characterized by easy printing, low shrinkage, and good layer adhesion, which significantly reduces the risk of model warping and failed prints.

Main advantages of Prof. Lab PLA Magenta filament

  • Easy printing even for beginners – low printer setup requirements
  • Dimensional accuracy (tolerance approx. ±0.03 mm) – consistent material flow and smooth walls
  • Excellent layer and first layer adhesion – minimization of deformation and corner peeling
  • Intense magenta color – suitable for design, presentation, and decorative prints
  • Standard 1.75 mm diameter – compatible with most desktop FDM/FFF 3D printers
  • Low tension and warping – suitable for larger models and multi-part assemblies

Recommended use

Prof. Lab PLA Magenta is suitable for:

  • design and decorative models
  • figurines, cosplay accessories, toys (not intended as a certified toy)
  • promotional and presentation items, logos, stands
  • concepts and prototypes of parts, covers, holders
  • models for schools, clubs, and hobby models

Recommended printing parameters

Specific values may vary depending on the type of printer, nozzle, and cooling – take these as baseline settings.

  • Nozzle temperature: approx. 185–215 °C
  • Bed temperature: approx. 25–60 °C (often printable without heating on a suitable surface)
  • Printing speed: usually 40–70 mm/s
  • Print cooling: high recommended (80–100%) after the first layers

For better first layer adhesion, we recommend using a suitable surface (PEI, textured sheet, glass with adhesive, build-tak, etc.) and thorough bed leveling.

Processing and winding quality

Prof. Lab filament is wound on a standard spool:

  • Material weight: 1 kg
  • Spool diameter: approx. 195 mm
  • Center hole diameter: approx. 75 mm

The precise filament diameter and controlled tolerance ensure stable extrusion without nozzle clogging and without significant fluctuations in flow.

Storage and filament care

PLA is sensitive to ambient moisture, so we recommend:

  • storing the filament in a dry place, ideally in a resealable bag or box with desiccant
  • protecting it from direct sunlight and high temperatures
  • removing the filament from the printer and storing it back in the packaging during long printing breaks

Proper storage keeps the material dry and helps maintain the surface quality and mechanical properties of the prints.

Who is Prof. Lab PLA Magenta suitable for

This filament will be appreciated by:

  • beginners who want a material that is easy to print
  • hobby makers and modelers for whom a bold color is important
  • schools, clubs, and workshops – thanks to simple use and safer printing than with technical plastics
  • professionals who need fast and aesthetic prototypes

If you are looking for a reliable PLA filament in a rich magenta color for everyday printing, Prof. Lab PLA Magenta 1 kg is an excellent choice.

Key features:

  • Universal PLA filament for everyday 3D printing
  • Intense magenta color for bold and design prints
  • Easy printing suitable even for beginners
  • Dimensional accuracy around ±0.03 mm for stable extrusion
  • Good layer adhesion and low risk of model deformation
  • Compatible with most FDM/FFF printers with 1.75 mm diameter
