Product description
Nebula PETG Watercolor Blue 1kg
Nebula PETG Watercolor Blue is a premium PETG filament designed for FDM/FFF 3D printing, which combines high strength, dimensional stability, and an attractive semi-transparent watercolor blue color. Thanks to its properties, it is suitable for both hobby users and more demanding technical applications.
Main advantages of Nebula PETG material
- High mechanical resistance – strong and tough material suitable for functional, stressed parts.
- Chemical resistance – PETG resists oils, salts, some acids, bases, and common solvents well.
- Heat resistance up to approx. 90 °C – suitable for parts exposed to higher temperatures than PLA (e.g., in a car, outdoors).
- Low shrinkage and good dimensional stability – minimizes warping and deformation during printing.
- Easy printing without a closed chamber – unlike ABS, a heated chamber is not required, and no significant odors are generated.
- Attractive semi-transparent appearance – the Watercolor Blue color is a translucent blue, suitable for design and aesthetic models.
Typical use
- functional and structural parts
- covers, holders, technical components
- parts exposed to outdoor environments or higher temperatures
- design and decorative prints in semi-transparent blue color
- thin-walled models where a combination of flexibility and strength is important
Recommended printing parameters
Specific settings may vary depending on the printer, nozzle, and environmental conditions – the following values serve as a proven starting point.
- Nozzle temperature: 220–240 °C
- Bed temperature: 60–90 °C
- Printing speed: approx. 35–60 mm/s
- Cooling fan: 0–25 % (lower airflow improves interlayer adhesion)
- Closed chamber: not required
To ensure good adhesion to the bed, it is advisable to use PEI, glass with glue, textured sheet, kapton, or masking tape. PETG is slightly hygroscopic, so dry storage is recommended, and for long-term storage, pre-drying the filament is also advised.
Technical parameters of the spool
- Material: PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol-modified)
- Filament diameter: 1,75 mm ± 0,05 mm
- Filament weight: 1 kg
- String length: approximately 330 m
- Full spool weight: approx. 1290 g
- Empty spool weight: approx. 280 g
- Spool diameter: 200 mm
- Spool width: 80 mm
- Center hole diameter: 55 mm
Properties and recommendations
- Printing is more suitable for slightly advanced users – PETG is more tolerant than ABS but requires more precise settings than PLA.
- Low internal stress and good layer adhesion ensure strong and durable parts.
- Good UV resistance – suitable for some outdoor applications.
- No closed printing chamber required – suitable even for common open FDM printers.
Nebula PETG Watercolor Blue represents a reliable universal filament for everyday printing of functional and aesthetic models if you require higher resistance than PLA and at the same time do not want the complications of printing ABS.
