Filamentree PLA Plus 2nd Class is an economical variant of the popular PLA+ filament from the Filamentree brand. It is a second quality (2nd Class) material – typically involving:

• minor visual imperfections on the spool or in the color,
• mix of multiple color shades or batches,
• slightly damaged packaging.

These deviations do not affect the printing properties of the filament itself, making it an ideal choice for users who want to save costs but require reliable PLA+.

Recommended print settings

Specific values may vary depending on the printer, hotend, and cooling. Take them as initial orientation settings for PLA+.

• Nozzle temperature: approx. 200–220 °C
• Bed temperature: approx. 50–60 °C (with some beds, it can be printed without heating)
• Print speed: approx. 40–70 mm/s
• Cooling: 80–100 % after the first layers

For 2nd Class spools, it may be useful to:

• set retraction more carefully (to prevent stringing),
• possibly slightly reduce the speed for the first prints,
• we recommend drying the filament before printing (approx. 45–50 °C for several hours) if it has been out of its original packaging for a long time.
