Product Description

Candour PPS-CF is a top-tier engineering filament made of PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) reinforced with carbon fibers, designed for the most demanding industrial and functional applications. It combines extreme thermal and chemical resistance with very high stiffness and dimensional stability.

The material composition, properties, and coloring of this filament are identical to the original Bambu Lab PPS-CF – both are produced by the same manufacturer. The difference is in the packaging:

  • Candour spools do not have an NFC/RFID tag, so the printer will not identify them automatically.
  • Candour spools have a different design than original Bambu Lab spools, and therefore cannot be used as refill spools.
  • When searching or for illustrative photos, we recommend using images of Bambu Lab PPS-CF of the same name and color, as the material is identical.

Thanks to its very low water absorption, PPS-CF minimally changes dimensions over time and maintains its mechanical properties even in humid environments. It is therefore suitable for long-term loaded parts in the automotive, electrical, mechanical, and aerospace industries.

Recommended Use

Candour PPS-CF is particularly suitable for:

  • Automotive parts – brackets, covers, engine compartment components, parts near exhausts or radiators.
  • Jigs, fixtures, and machine accessoriesjigs, fixtures, and clamping parts near heat or chemicals.
  • Electrical and electronic components – housings, spacers, functional parts in high-temperature environments.
  • Industrial and mechanical components – gears, bearing housings, functional prototypes with high mechanical stress.
  • Other structural and functional parts in demanding environments where common materials (PLA, PETG, PA-CF) are insufficient.

This filament is intended for more experienced users who have an enclosed, heated printer and can handle printing at high nozzle and bed temperatures.


Printing Recommendations

Specific values may vary by printer and conditions, but based on the parameters of the reference Bambu Lab PPS-CF:

  • Nozzle temperature: approx. 310–340 °C
  • Bed temperature: approx. 100–120 °C
  • Enclosed print chamber: strongly recommended, ideally heated
  • Max. recommended print speed: up to 100 mm/s (for surface quality and strength)
  • Dry filament is a necessitydry the PPS-CF before printing (higher temperature and longer drying time than common materials)
  • Abrasion-resistant nozzle – use a hardened steel, hardened brass, or otherwise durable nozzle due to the abrasive carbon fibers.

With improper drying or an insufficiently heated environment, filament snapping, poor layer bonding, or increased internal stress may occur – therefore, it is worth paying maximum attention to print preparation.


Candour Spool Features

  • Without NFC/RFID tag – the filament is not automatically recognized by the printer.
  • Different spool design compared to Bambu Labcannot be used as a refill spool for the original Bambu Lab system.
  • Suitable for standard spool holders and external feeders.
