Product description
Candour PETG Matte Black
Candour PETG Matte Black is a high-quality matte black PETG filament from the same manufacturer that produces Bambu Lab filaments. Both the material and the color shade correspond to Bambu Lab PETG filament in black – meaning you get the same visual quality and material properties, just on a Candour brand spool.
\nImportant: Candour spools do not have an NFC tag and are not compatible as refill spools with original empty Bambu Lab spools. However, you can use the material on Bambu Lab printers without any problems – simply select the appropriate PETG profile in the slicer.
Key Features
- Same recipe and color as Bambu Lab PETG – identical material and matte black shade
- Matte surface – suppresses reflections, masks layers and minor imperfections well
- Higher toughness than PLA – suitable for functional and stressed parts
- Higher heat resistance than PLA (typically around 70–80 °C for PETG)
- Good chemical resistance to common cleaning agents, oils, and fats
- Low shrinkage and warping – easy printing even on open FDM printers
- Stable dimensions and precision thanks to high-quality processing by an industrial manufacturer
- No NFC tag – the material is not automatically recognized by AMS/AMS Lite, parameters must be selected manually
- Spool is not refill-compatible with original Bambu Lab spools
Typical Use
Candour PETG Matte Black is ideal for:
- functional and structural parts
- covers, holders, jigs, and assembly aids
- design and decorative models with an elegant matte surface
- interior parts and lightly stressed parts in technical applications
Printing Recommendations
Specific temperatures and settings may vary slightly depending on the printer, nozzle, and cooling, but generally for PETG we recommend:
- Nozzle temperature: approx. 230–260 °C
- Bed temperature: approx. 70–90 °C
- Printing speed: standard PETG profiles, or slightly higher speed depending on printer capabilities
- Bed: PEI, glass, or textured sheet, ideally with a suitable adhesive
When using on Bambu Lab printers, you can start from the PETG profile (e.g., from a profile similar to PETG from Bambu Lab) and fine-tune temperatures and speeds as needed.
Printer Compatibility
The filament is designed for common FDM/FFF 3D printers with a filament diameter of 1.75 mm. It is suitable for both open desktop printers and closed systems with a heated chamber.
On Bambu Lab printers (X1, P1, A1, etc.), the filament can be used without problems – only automatic identification via NFC will not occur, you set the parameters manually or create your own profile.
Summary
Candour PETG Matte Black is a great choice for users looking for the same material and appearance as Bambu Lab PETG filaments in black, but who do not require an NFC tag or refill spool compatibility. It combines an elegant matte look, mechanical resistance, and easy printing, making it a universal filament for everyday and professional use.
