Product description
Candour PETG Ching
Candour PETG Ching filament is a versatile PETG material for FDM 3D printing that shares the same material composition and color shade as the original Bambu Lab PETG in the Ching variant. It is manufactured by the same OEM manufacturer, so you can rely on the consistent quality and printing behavior you are used to from original Bambu profiles. Unlike Bambu Lab filaments, however, Candour uses its own plastic spool without an NFC tag. The spool is not compatible as a refill for original Bambu Lab spools and does not have an NFC profile stored on it – therefore, you should manually select a suitable PETG profile in the printer.Main advantages of PETG Candour Ching
- Identical material and color as Bambu Lab PETG Ching
- High toughness and durability – suitable for functional, mechanically stressed parts
- Better thermal resistance than PLA – typically up to around 70–80 °C short-term
- Good chemical resistance to water, oils, and most common chemicals
- Glossy, rich "Ching" shade suitable for both functional and design models
- Stable diameter and good printability – easy to use on most FDM printers
Spool and compatibility
- Material and color match Bambu Lab PETG of the same color
- The Candour spool has a different design than Bambu Lab spools
- Without NFC chip – Bambu Lab printers will not automatically recognize the filament
- Not intended as a refill for original Bambu Lab spools
- Can be used without problems in Bambu Lab printers (and others) with a manually selected PETG profile
Recommended use
- Functional prototypes and technical parts
- Covers, holders, mounting fixtures
- Parts for slightly elevated temperatures (cars, workshop, interior)
- Outdoor elements – thanks to better UV and water resistance compared to PLA
Printing recommendations (general PETG)
Specific settings may vary by printer, but for PETG of the Bambu Lab PETG/ Candour PETG type, the following are usually used:- Nozzle temperature: approx. 230–250 °C
- Bed temperature: approx. 70–85 °C
- Printing speed: medium (e.g., 80–150 mm/s for fast printers, depending on the profile)
- Fan: medium to low, for better layer adhesion
