Tips for working with PLA
Sanding PLA has higher hardness and easily overheats and melts locally during dry sanding. Therefore, wet sanding is suitable – keep the sandpaper and surface continuously cooled with water to prevent clogging of the abrasive and deformation of the model.(prusa3d.com)
Gluing PLA parts can be glued with standard cyanoacrylate adhesives (CA). Some types of PLA can also be dissolved with acetone, but it always depends on the specific additives and dye – for Buddy3D PLA, we primarily recommend cyanoacrylate glue.(prusa3d.com)
Storage and drying PLA is less hygroscopic than, for example, PETG or nylon, but it is still advisable to store the filament in a dry place (sealable box, bag with silica gel).
