Bambu Lab PLA Wood Black Walnut is a special composite filament based on PLA enriched with fine natural wood powder. This allows the print to achieve a very realistic look of dark walnut wood – with a matte, slightly grainy surface and a subtle woody scent.

This filament is ideal for projects where natural appearance and design play a role: interior decorations, props, furniture models, product packaging, art objects, or gift items. At the same time, it retains the ease of printing of classic PLA, making it suitable even for users who are just starting with composite materials.

The Black Walnut color offers a deep, elegant brown shade that resembles luxury walnut wood and helps prints stand out in premium projects.

Printing Recommendations

• Nozzle temperature: approx. 190–240 °C (start around 200–210 °C and adjust if necessary according to the printer)
• Bed temperature: approx. 35–45 °C
• Printing speed: up to approx. 250 mm/s (for best quality, rather medium speeds)
• Nozzle: minimum 0.4 mm; for long-term printing of wood composites, a more durable one (stainless/steel, hardened) is suitable
• Drying: due to the higher absorbency of the wood component, it is advisable to dry the filament before printing and store it in a dry place (< 20 % RH).

These recommendations can be further refined using the official filament profile in the Bambu Studio printing software or another slicer.
